A labor of love
Marlow began with a feeling most dog people know. The one asleep at the end of the sofa isn't a pet, exactly. They're family. And family deserves better than a camera roll of photos that never get printed.
So every portrait here is made for one animal only. You send the photo. You see the portrait before anything is printed. If it doesn't look like them — the grey coming in around the muzzle, the ear that never quite stands up, the look they give you when you pick up the leash — you try again. Nothing goes on canvas until you've looked at it and said yes.
It's a small thing to get right, and we care a great deal about getting it right. Because it's going to hang in your home for the next twenty years, long after the puppy photos have scrolled out of reach.
